The Peewee football league is designed for athletes (boys and girls) that are 11 - 12 years old in this calendar year. It is designed to combine some of the introductory & fun components of the atom program with the more competitive aspects of higher football levels.
The Rebels practice approximately 3 times per week and play one league game each Saturday. There is a small amount of travel involved as each team must travel to other Central Alberta communities 3 or 4 times during the regular season. Travel arrangements are the responsibility of each family.
Unlike most other sports, football is a game that relies on all 12 players on the field working together at the same time to execute a play. Therefore, practice time is extremely important for the development of each player and for the development of the team. Each player / family will be expected to display the level of commitment necessary to ensure personal and team success.
Football is a wonderful sport that teaches many valuable life lessons. A football player will learn about team work, commitment, giving their best effort, perseverance and many other important qualities.
