The Bantam football league is designed for athletes (boys and girls) that are 13 - 15 years old, but not entering Grade 10 in September of the current year. It is designed to be a highly competitive, but uses the game of football to teach everyone how to be champions - on and off the field. While striving to make this organization as competitive as possible, we are committed to making sure all of our players continue to learn the essentials and fundamentals of football.
The Rebels practice approximately 4 times per week and play one league game each Saturday. There is a small amount of travel involved as each team must travel to other Central Alberta communities 3 or 4 times during the regular season. Travel arrangements are the responsibility of each family.
Unlike most other sports, football is a game that relies on all 12 players on the field working together at the same time to execute a play. Therefore, practice time is extremely important for the development of each player and for the development of the team. Each player / family will be expected to display the level of commitment necessary to ensure personal and team success.
